What is the difference between a Medicare Advantage Plan and a Medicare Supplement Plan?
Understanding how medical care works and which medical insurance plans is the right one for you can be quite complicated without understanding the basis of what our Medicare Advantage Plans and a Medicare Supplement Plans are.
When you get a health or medical insurance policy, it should cover at least one of the two parts that compose a medical insurance. These two parts are called Part A and Part B.
Part A covers up everything related to hospital insurance, meaning it covers up the stay in a hospital, a nursing facility or any other competent and high quality health facility.
Then, there’s Part B, which covers up everything related to certain doctor services a patient might need, like regular consultations, medical supplies and such.

When you get a contract with us, you are actually making a deal with a private company. To put it simply, private companies come to us, offering different health plans, they contract with Medicare, and we later provide you with these plans, so you can contract with us and be sure you are getting only the best plans and attention possible.

What are Medicare Supplement Plans.
On the other hand, we’ve got Medicare Supplement Plans, and as the name itself states it, it’s a medical insurance that works as a supplement plan to cover up services your regular Medicare insurance won’t.
As we previously stated, some Medicare insurances will cover up both Part A and B of your plan, but most won’t, or at least won’t cover up every single thing. That’s when Medicare Supplement Plans come in, offering to help you pay for the services that original medicare isn’t able to.
When you get a supplement plan, you are enrolling on a different type of health insurance policy. Think about it as a support health plan that will cover services your regular one doesn’t.
Amongst the different health services a Medicare Supplement Plan can cover up are: Co-payments, Deductibles and Coinsurance. You can even get a plan that will secure you whenever you are traveling outside the United States.
Medicare Advantage Plans allows you to choose from different health insurances plans and get the one that better suits you. While a Medicare Supplement Plan is also a health insurance plan, but one that is there to support or cover things that your regular plan won’t.
